Mark Rogers – Finance

I attended Beth’s recent workshop on finance for non-financial managers thinking… well I know all about balance sheets, P&Ls, cash positions company accounts etc. so let’s just go and see if there is a nugget or two to take away, because there usually is with these things…

…but there wasn’t just a nugget or two, there were quite a few!

The session was aimed at the small business person and took us through the important financial documents, how they are made up and what the figures mean, and which ones are important to really understand.

This was a great intro to company accounts and I would recommend it to all small business owners. I look forward to the next workshop!

I was recently invited to attend Beth’s “Introduction to Business Coaching workshop”, and was very impressed with it.

The content was clear, the pace of the workshop was swift, but thorough, it covered various areas of business and really made you think about your business and where it should be place, who it should serve, and what the future could look like.

It was interactive, full of ideas, with an underlying focus on really understanding where you as the business owner could make some changes to project forwards.

Simple questions such as “so what?” really allowed us to dig deeper into our mindset, and through processes.

If you are in business, just starting out, or are more established, BN Finance’s course allows you to refocus on your business, and for that reason, I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

To someone who works alone and has done for years, it highlighted a lot of how I could be doing things differently. I am guilty of running around trying to find the next deal all the time.

As individuals we take self-care seriously these days, and I think we all agree that it’s vital to a healthy mind and outlook. So why wouldn’t we do the same for our business?

This felt very much like that. Discussing what we really do, our mission statements and values.

Thinking about goals, what they are and how to actually achieve them.

It was a great mind decluttering exercise identifying ‘who we are as a business’, ‘what we do’ and ‘what we are actually doing’ and most importantly ‘what we want do with that in the future, and how we may achieve it’.

I took a number of positives from the workshop and would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

Beth is someone that really does think outside the box.  She isn’t there to tell you how to run your business, she is there to help you see your business from a different dynamic and for me that is definitely what she did.

We drilled down to things that I had never given much thought to but she made me realise that actually, they are things that could really project my business forward. In doing this, it has given me a new found confidence to look at my business from a different angle.

If you are looking for new fresh ideas for your business, then I urge you to give this workshop a go.  It is fun, engaging and great value for money, you will not regret it.
